The ruling TRS party and Congress party likely to announce their candidates’ names for Warangal by elections very shortly. Telangana Chief Minister KCR held a meeting with his party MLAs, MLCs and senior leaders at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday. He is reportedly proposing Gudimalla Ravikumar as TRS candidate. He may announce the party candidate’s name tonight or tomorrow.

 

Congress party state political affairs in-charge Digvijay Singh also held a meeting with his party leaders of the state at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday. Congress high command is insisting G Vivek to contest for Warangal Lok Sabha seat from Warangal, but he politely refused the offer. He said to be asked Digvijay Singh to let Sarve Satyanarayana contest in the by elections, who is very much interested for it. Digvijay Singh concluded the meeting a short while ago and said that he will finalize the name after consulting party president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

 

BJP is also doing exercise in finalizing its candidate name after TDP decides to leave the seat to it. BJP is also likely to announce its candidate name in a day or two. Last date for filing nominations is November 4th. So, hardly one week time left for all parties to finalize their candidates’ names.
