OMC Mining Case : Rajagopal Gets Bail

The CBI special court has finally given bail to V D Rajagopal, managing director of the Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation in the OMC illegal mining case. Rajagopal had approached the court for the fourth time yesterday seeking bail on various grounds. Rajagopal is the third accused in the Obulapuram Mining Corporation’s illegal mining case along with Gali Janardhan Reddy and B V Srinivas Reddy.
Rajagopal is in jail since November though his house was raided by CBI a month earlier when the sleuths found huge amount of gold, properties and cash in his house. Rajagopal was asked to provide a bond of Rs. 50,000 besides surety of two persons and also warned against going abroad and advised to be in constant touch with the CBI on a daily basis.
