The relief operations taken-up by various state governments to ensure the safe return of their people, has turned up to be a ugly political war between political parties in the country. To begin with, Kiran Sarkar is fuming on TDP for taking initiative leaving no chance to it for its delayed entry.
Shivasena chief Uddhav Thackeray, who is known for hatred ness towards other than Maharashtra people and dislikes other than Hindus, lashes at Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi for being narrow minded in extending help to Gujarati people only, while ignoring the rest. Uddav in his party’s mouth piece news paper ‘Samna’ writes that Modi, who has been given a national role to play by the BJP and dreams to rule the country as PM, should not speak in narrow terms for only Gujaratis.
However, Uddahv is all praise to Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan for he shown in difference between Maharahstrians and other people. He suggested Modi, if he dreams to be a national leader, then he should broaden his view and consider all the people of the country as his own people.
However, Chandrababu has praised Narendra Modi for his spontaneous response and relief measures comparing to the poor response by Kiran Sarkar.
Central government also suggests the state governments to refrain from rescue operations and leave the matter to Uttarakhand and to the Center so as a proper co-ordination between rescue teams can be achieved.
Uttarakhand government has asked all the other state governments to stay away from relief operations as it is hampering the rescue operations. However, it is accepting medical aid and chopper services from the other governments.
It seems every political party involved in these operations is worried about its rivals’ rescue activities and eager to grab the opportunity to gain full credit of the situation.
