AP chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has disappointed, one of his cabinet colleagues, minister Galla Aruna Kumari over Tirupathi assembly seat. Tirupathi assembly seat has fallen vacant with the MLA Chiranjeevi being sent to Rajya Sabha. Aruna Kumari wanted her son Galla Jayadev to be given party ticket for the bypoll in Tirupathi.
According to sources, Aruna Kumari met the chief minister and requested him to give the ticket to her son Jayadev. But Kiran Kumar declined her request saying that it was not proper to give preference to the same family twice and also that Jayadev didn't have any political experience. He is said to have suggested that Jayadev should first join active politics and later seek the party ticket. Sources say that this has terribly disappointed Aruna Kumari and lamented before her close aides that had YSR was alive today, she wouldn't have faced this situation. However, the relentless Aruna Kumari is said to have started her trials to impress upon Delhi bosses and get her son party ticket, without Kiran Kumar Reddy's help.
