KCR to spend Rs.2-3 crores for Chandi Yagam

Telangana Chief Minister KCR is performing Ayutha Chandi Yagam from December 23-27th in his farm house in Medak district. Since, he wants to perform it in a large scale with huge expense, opposition parties are criticizing him for spending public for his personal interests. CM KCR gives them reply through media today.

He said “I took pledge to perform this Yagam if separate Telangana state is formed. So, I am doing it now as my wish was fulfilled. But, I am not going to take a single NP from government treasury for this Yagam. I will bear whole expenditure from my own earnings. This Yagam is intended for seeking blessings of gods for Telangana state. So, I request the opposition parties to restrain from making allegations against me and my Yagam."

"It was expected that around Rs.2-3 crores are required for performing this Yagam. Money is not a matter but finding 4, 000 Vedic pandits and 1500 Rithviks for performing this Yagam is very hard. I am trying to bring them from two or three states. I will invite AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for this Yagam. I am expecting President Pranab Mukharjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, Governors and Chief Ministers of several state grace this Yagam.” said CM KCR.
