TD Telangana Forum Recommends Nagam Ouster
The newly formed Telangana Telugu Desam Forum unanimously resolved to take disciplinary action against party's senior leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy and forwarded it to party chief Chandrababu Naidu. For some time now, Nagam has been criticising party leadership for its dual policy on Telangana issue. He was also holding Telangana Nagaara meetings without party flag and the party's consent. The TD Forum reportedly recommended for suspension of Nagam Janardhan Reddy.
Taking strong exception to his suspension, Nagam alleged that "Opportunists and samaikhyawadis have joined hands to suspend him from the party for raising Telangana voice. People have lost faith in the TD for its 'two-eyes' concept. There is a strong Telangana sentiment and we have to go by people's wishes." Asked if he would seek revocation of his suspension, he quipped, "I did no wrong. My conscience is clear. I don't have to live on someone's charity. If Mr Naidu sends a letter supporting Telangana, I will surrender before him."
