Shinde’s clarification on sending T-draft to State Assembly not only clears the speculations over it, but also turned embarrassing for CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and his battalion of Ministers and MLAs, who until now owe defeat the T-Bill in the house and then quit their posts.
Home Minister Shinde clearing the doubts on the bifurcation process, told the media that “The T-draft approved by the Cabinet will be sent to President of India. He will send it to State Assembly for taking its opinion. Then, it will return to President and he will forward it to Cabinet. Then the government of India will submit a T-Bill in Parliament for approval. There is no question of sending T-Bill to Assembly or sending it twice to Assembly. Only T-draft will be sent to Assembly just to take its opinion following the traditional practice and not for its approval by the Assembly.”
Hence, it is understood that there is no scope for voting or defeating of the T-Bill in the State Assembly as claimed by CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and his followers. If, anyone is still assuring the people for the same, then they are just bluffing the people.
