Akshay asks Sushma to do an 'Airlift' in Sudan

Akshay Kumar has asked the Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj to evacuate Indians out of the troubled area of Sudan. Akshay Kumar won hearts for imparting awareness about the Iraq war and the evacuation of Indians from Kuwait when he played the role of an Indian businessman Ranjit Katyal, who lead the evacuation of his countrymen in the film inspired from a group of Indians who led the task in 1990. Now that Indian in South Sudan are facing a similar situation he is taking steps to garner attention towards the issue. The actor tweeted to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj requesting her to take speedy evacuation measures of Indians stuck in Juba.
The capital city is witnessing escalated violence due to clashes between anti and pro government forces. India has been putting in place an evacuation plan for its nationals from the war-torn country. He tweeted, "@SushmaSwaraj Ma'am request for speedy measures and actions to evacuate Indians stranded in Sudan. Prayers with them. #SaveIndiansInJuba" to which the Minister gave a positive reply saying, "Akshay Kumar ji - Pl do not worry. We are evacuating Indian nationals from Juba (South Sudan)." Akshay who was glad to receive a swift reply from the Minister tweeted, "Thank you Ma'am appreciate the promptness. Hoping to hear about the successful evacuation operation soon".
