The Crime Investigation Department (CID) sleuths on Thursday got custody of four accused arrested in the Suri murder case. Based on a petition filed by the CID, the VI additional chief metropolitan magistrate of the Nampally criminal courts granted six-day custody (May 19-24) of S Subbaiah, A Venkata Ramana, B Venkata Hari Babu and Manmohan Singh in the Suri murder case on Thursday.
The CID officers immediately took the four into custody and began questioning them. Though the Central Crime Station (CCS) sleuths had arrested the four four months ago and even interrogated them in detail earlier, they could not extract any useful information. As a result, the prime accused Bhanu Kiran still remains at large. The CID officers hope to fill in the gaps and extract possible leads enabling them to track down Bhanu.
