Devotees are thronging the temple from all parts of the State and outside AP to have glimpse of Lord Rama and his consort Sita Devi. The first citizens of the State , Governor of Andhra Pradesh Mr. E.S.L. Narasimhan and his wife Vimala Narasimhan have presented the traditional “Pattu Vasthrams” to the Lord as part of the Tradition and will witness the Kalyana Mahotsavam. Government officials have made all arrangement for the devotees like water and other facilities and tight security has been placed in and around the temple town to avoid any untoward incidents.
The pearls used in the tradition of Talambralu where rice mixed with pearls are poured over the deities are the ones which were given by the ruler Tanisha to be used during the annual Sri Sitarama Kalyanam and even today, the same pearls are used till date.
