Former Minister Shankar rao, who hits the news headlines for all the wrong reasons during January, again back into focus with CID serving summons to him asking to attend before it on Saturday between 1-2 pm for questioning. However, he sent his lawyer instead of attending personally vowing to his health complications.

He was able to escape the police custody due to the unprecedented support from the backward classes’ organizations and the ruling Congress government leaders. But, his refusal to co-operate with CID team constituted to enquire into his humiliating arrest by the Nerdmet police and his daughter’s consequent reactions of complaining in local police station against CM, DGP and others, her letter to party high command with same complaint might have made the government to go ahead with Shankar rao’s case. However, his cast card may again insulate him from the CID probing.
