It appears Digvijay Singh’s damage control efforts in Seemandhra are yielding fruitful results. The expelled Congress MP Sai Prathap from Rajampeta, who is expected to join Kiran’s JSP has returned to Congress party today with Digvijay timely rolling red carpet to him. Actually, Sai Prathap is expected to join Kiran’s JSP but he distanced with it after seeing poor response to it from the people.
Later, he gives a thought to join TDP like any other Congress leader, but the delay in taking a timely decision has closed doors for him in TDP also, as it has offered Rajampeta constituency to BJP as a part of poll alliance. So, Digvijay Singh, who sniffs his frustrating situation, roles a red carpet for him back into party and Sai Prathap humbly accepted it without any second thoughts.
However, it is interesting to hear Sai Prathap advising Kiran Kumar Reddy to wind-up his JSP and return to Congress fold immediately. Of course it is not a bad idea. He has to do it even after elections. So, better hurry now and secure his ticket from Congress.
Digvijay should also consider inviting rest of the four MPs back into party, who may be desperately waiting for a phone call from him.
