Russian Aircraft with 217 passengers on board crashed in Egypt

 

A Russian airplane with 217 passengers, mostly Russians on board and 7 crew members was collapsed in Central Sinai in Egypt on Saturday morning around 7.20 am according to local time. The ill-fated Russian flight (No: 9268) left Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt at 06:51 am scheduled to reach Pulkovo airport at St Petersburg in Russia at 12:10 pm. But, it lost contacts with the ground control 23 minutes after takes off from Egypt airport.

 

Egypt Prime Minister Sharif Ismail’s office confirmed the plane crash. All people on board are feared to be killed in the crash. However, Egypt government sent rescue teams to the spot immediately after hearing the news about the crash. According to reports, the plane is suspected to be gunned down by ISIS terrorists for taking revenge on Russian Government, which is conducting airstrikes on their camps in Syria. However, ISIS terrorists have not claimed responsibility for the attack. Governments of Egypt and Russia also not confirmed terrorists’ involvement in this tragic accident.
