Who could forget Philippines Presidential candidate Duterte making controversial remarks on a rape victim. While referring to a 1989 prison riot where an Australian missionary was killed and raped by the inmates... Duterte commented that she was so beautiful, that he should have got the first opportunity to molest her. His remarks has indeed sparked a debate across the nation as the foreign ambassadors too came out to condemn the remarks.

 

Duterte’s daughter, Sara Duterte has of course joined the debate. Sara said that though she didn’t take her father’s comments seriously.. she too was a rape victim. But Duterte was quick to rubbish her remarks. He said that she always used to carry a gun and could never be raped. He even brushed her away as a drama queen. With his latest remarks Duterte seems to have lost his finest chances to be the next president of Philippines. Probably he deserves a loss!
