Congress has never found it difficult to come up with nice excuses for their every grave mistakes and faults. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who is known to be a member of Team-Rahul responding to a media question on why Rahul Gandhi is reluctant to lead the party in the Lok Sabha as its leader, “If some people want to know where he could be if not in the parliament, I say ‘Badaun’ fighting on behalf of the poor people. His role is not just limited to Parliament but to the whole nation to fight their cause.”
He described Rahul Gandhi as the young face of the future of Congress party. Tharoor also said that Rahul is going to play a bigger role than leading the party in the parliament. He has a very tiring task awaiting him that it is revamp the party and strengthen it by grass root level before next general elections.
About electing not so popular leader Mallikarjun Kharge as the party leader in the Lok Sabha, he replied that his appointment underlines that there would be recognition for services in the party. Answers like this may look apt, but it will not help Congress party to strengthen itself anyway. Unless, Congress party shrugs off its dynasty ruling, it can’t expect any miracles even in the next elections.
