Prakash Javadekar to file RS Nomination from MP

Union minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar will file his nomination as the BJP's Rajya Sabha candidate from the state of Madhya Pradesh .As per rules a minister without a seat in Parliament has to get into either Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha within six months after he or she takes oath of office.
A seat is vacant as BJP tribal leader and Rajya Sabha Member from MP Faggan Singh Kulaste who was sent to the Rajya Sabha two years ago will vacate his seat after winning the 16th Lok Sabha elections from the Mandla constituency. With this Rajya Sabha seat vacant in the state, the BJP will now send Pune born Mr Javadekar from here .
Minister of Minority Affairs Mrs Najma Heptullah is also slated to be nominated from Madhya Pradesh in the RS quota. Meanwhile Union Minister of State for Ministry of Commerce & Industry Mrs Nirmala Sitaraman will be nominated from Andhra where one seat became vacant after the death of seniorCongress leader Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy who died last month.
