BJP president Rajnath Singh has announced that Gujarat CM Narendra Modi will be party Prime Ministerial candidate. He made this announcement at New Delhi a short while ago, even before commencement of party Parliamentary Board meeting schedule for Friday evening.

However senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj has told the media that she is not aware of the meeting. Sushma and Advani are opposing Modi’s candidature since the beginning. However, BJP has decided to go ahead ignoring their objections. Modi will reach New Delhi today evening to attend the Parliamentary Board meeting, where the members will officially acknowledge party president’s announcement.
