Nagam Janardhan Reddy, who parted ways with Telugu Desam Party over the contentitious Telangana issue, is mulling over floating a new party. He told the media that he doesn't want to contest the upcoming by-elections as an independent candidate, nor he is willing to join some other party. He said "An independent MLA has no significance in the Assembly and I'm not willing to join any other party either. So the best way is to float a new party altogether. A party which can achieve separate Telangana without confronting the Seemandhra leaders. I want to start one such party."
This statement of Janardhan Reddy gains significance in the wake of the upcoming by-elections in 7 constituencies in the Telangana region. Earlier, Nagam had resigned from TDP and also from his Nagar Kurnool assembly seat in protest over centre's dilly dallying in carving out a separate T-state. However, Nagam said that he would wait till announcement of bypolls and then decide on the issue of new party.
