The voting on FDI bill still had its ugly traces left behind. Samajwadi party and Bahujan Samajwadi Party of Uttar Pradesh though they both consider Congress party as their common enemy, have bailed it out through FDI bill voting.
But, BJP and the recently launched Aam Admi Parties have alleged that UPA has obliged them both for a bailout by twisting their hands with its CBI tool. They allege that both the parties which have several cases filed against them by CBI were made to bailout the UPA government in its critical times in parliament. However, Congress party ruled out the allegations stating they are baseless.
But, Mulayam Singh, the Samajwadi party president, who recently had a reprimand from Supreme Court, which asks the CBI to start investigation into the inappropriate assets of Mulayam Singh, his son and present Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh and his younger brother, fumes against Congress party for it. The court also orders the CBI to report directly to it instead of reporting Central government to avoid any tampering of the ebidence of their cases.
Speaking to media at New Delhi Mulayam Singh has said “The UPA government is using the CBI as its tool to poke its enemies as well as its foes to gain upper hand over them. It is not fair on its part. I am not afraid of CBI or its investigation because there is nothing to conceal about my properties. If Congress party thinks that it can make us bow by twisting our hands with its CBI, I say it is day dreaming.”
His warning to withdraw his party support to UPA over SC, ST bill gives us the clues about the blackmailing politics that taking place between the two parties to get their job done.
BJP party President Nitin Gadkari describing the relation between Congress party and CBI has said “CBI is a trusted partner of Congress party than any of its allies in the UPA government. Though we said this long back, it is used to condemn us. But, now it is proved with Mulayam Singh’s statement, whom it obliges to bailout in the FDI bill issue. There are many others of whom we can’t name out now, were the victims of UPA and its ally CBI.
This focuses light on other cases like YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy in the state who is now trapped with several cases launched by CBI against him. Certainly, all these developments gives a new weapon to YSR Congress party to highlight the injustice made to their leader by CBI as they always used to allege.
