The CBI court on Thursday has extended judicial remand of former minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana for another 14 days. He was arrested by the CBI in Kadapa MP and YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's disproportionate assets case and has been lodged in the Chanchalguda jail.
Mopidevi is facing charges of committing irregularities in land allotments to the Vanpic project as the then investments and infrastructures minister. It is alleged that the minister has changed the nature of the project from BOOT (Build, Own, Operate and Transfer) to BOO (Build, Own and Operate), facilitating the promoters of the project under quid-pro-quo deal with Jagan Mohan Reddy.
