Mopidevi family quits Congress party

Former minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana rao, who was arrested in connection with Vanpic case some one year ago, gave nod to his family members to leave the Congress party, protesting its negligent attitude shown towards him.
His brother Mopidevi Haranatha babu had a meeting with their followers at his residence in Guntur today. They have sharply criticized the Congress party for being indifferent with Mopidevi Venkata Ramana and for turning blind eye on him. They allege that party has neglected him after his arrest, who once strived has strived hard to strengthen the party in Repalle in Guntur district. They allege that Congress government and the party not even bothered to provide proper medical treatment to him, when he is frequently falling sick in the jail.
Hence, they have announced that all of they are leaving the Congress party and joining YSR Congress party on July 5th in the presence of Vijayamma. Former MPP Prasada Vasudeva, former Sarpanchs, former MPTCs and Mopidevi followers are joining the YSR Congress party along with Mopidevi Haranath.
