No alliance with Janata Parivar: MIM

MIM party’s entry into Bihar Assembly elections may impact the electoral chances of Janata Parivar, Congress party, Samajwadi Party lead by Mulayam Singh and many others, who are based on the large Muslim vote-bank in the state. Hence, Laloo Prasad has invited MIM Chief Asaduddeen Owisi to join hands with their Janata Parivar alliance, which they claim as secular front.
But, Asaduddeen simply turned down his request and asked what did he and Nitish Kumar do to safeguard the interests of Muslims in the state. He asked why the Muslim people living in Seemanchal district are ignored by the state government during their regimes. He plainly told Laloo that MIM party will put up its candidates in 25 constituencies in Seemanchal district and if possible field candidates in other places of the state also.
Next, it is to be seen whether Asaduddeen will join hands with Mulayam Singh or not. However, so far neither of them has made any formal proposal for alliance. But, they may definitely join hands as both their parties are contesting elections alone. So, they badly need each other’s co-operation to make sure at least 50 per cent of their candidates win the elections. MIM is reportedly planning to contest in 40 constituencies.
BJP managed to settle seat sharing issues with its NDA alliance partners. BJP is contesting in 160 constituencies, Lok Janshakthi party lead by Ramvilas Pashwan-40, Hindusthani Avami Morcha lead by the former Chief Minister of Bihar State Jitanram Manjhi-20 seats and Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Samata Party party will be contesting in 23 seats out of 243 assembly seats in the state.
