A 108 feet tall statue of Jains first leader Lord Rishabhdeva is going to enter the Guinness book of world records.
- This state was constructed on the top of Mangi Tungi mountain near Teharabad village of Maharashtra.
- Till now, the 57 feet statue of Bahubali in Shravanabelagola of Karnataka used to be the highest Jain statue in the world.
- Ganini Pramukh Gyanmati Mataji, a famous Jain saint has studied various scriptures to determine the structure of Rishabhdeva.
- Basing on the suggestions of Mataji, this huge sculpture was carved out of single rock.
- It took more than a decade and 150 sculptors to complete the task.
- A Mahamastabhisheka was done yesterday to purify the statue. This ritual would again be performed in 2022.
- Several celebrities and politicians such as BJP President Amit Shah, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had participated in the ceremony.
