The national capital woke up to yet another gruesome murder, this time by a live in partner who stabbed the woman 32 times and leaving her fighting for her life. The woman, who works in a private company in Delhi got to know Varun Goyal (27) , a resident of Ghaziabad when she started visiting a gym near her apartment where Goyal was a gym trainer. Police investigating the case said, “Preliminary investigations reveal that the victim and the accused were living together. They had an argument about getting married. The victim seems to have asked Varun to speak to his family and get married. However, his family did not agree to their marriage.

The accused has said that there was a scuffle between the two following a heated argument but there are no injury marks on the accused… The accused has been arrested and we are conducting further inquiry into the case". While this is what the accused had said to the police, the victim's brother had a different story to tell, he said, "She has been living at Mahadev Apartments for the last two years. I have never met Varun Goel. My sister separated from her husband over a year ago. These reports of her living with Varun are false". The woman is said to be in a critical state in a hospital.
