Jagan Promises Political Reservations For Muslims

Political reservations for Muslims - is the new Jagan-bait aimed at capturing Congress' prized muslim vote bank in Kadapa district. As part of campaigning in the Kadapa bypolls, Jagan Mohan Reddy promised 4% political reservations for muslims at a meeting held in Mydukuru. Interestingly, Mydukuru happens to be native constituency of his main rival, health minister Dr. D L Ravindra Reddy.
Addressing an election meeting at Mydukuru, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said that his father Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy had provided four per cent quota for Muslims in jobs and education. "It's now time for political reservation for Muslims. If YSR Congress Party is elected to power in the next Assembly elections, we will provide four per cent quota for Muslims in civic, local and legislative bodies."
