Jayaprada has been looking for a political party that can offer her ticket to contest for Lok Sabha from Rajhamundry only. She has approached both TDP and YSR Congress parties for the same but none of them have shown any interest in her, as she has no cadre support in the particular constituency. More over her condition of Rajhamundry ticket from Rajhamundry has narrowed her chances of entry into state political parties.

Hence, as a last effort few weeks back she met Sonia Gandhi and expressed her interest in joining the party and also about her condition. Though, no formal assurance was given to her, she got a favorable reaction from Rajhamundry MP Undavalli Arun Kumar. He said he is ready to help her in obtaining party ticket and he is willing to be promoted to Rajya Sabha, in case party wants to allot his ticket to her. Yet, no formal announcement was made by party until now.

Hence, she once again turned-up at a party thrown by PM on the eve of UPa completing 4 years term in government. There she was found accompanied by her mentor Amar Singh, who have good contacts with top brass of the Congress party. According to reports they both have talked to Sonia Gandhi in private about this issue. So, soon Jayaprada may be confirmed of her berth in Congress train that takes her to Rajhamundry.
