If all goes well, YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy is going to get a much needed political advisor soon. This news gets credence on the basis that advisor to state government and deputy chairman of Agricultural Technology Mission (ATM), D A Somayajulu asked chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to accept his resignation as he would be plunging into active politics. Somayajulu had submitted his resignation in November 2010 soon after Kiran Kumar Reddy took over as chief minister. The government had kept the letter in abeyance and had not taken a decision on it till now.
Somayajulu was close to former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and was appointed economic advisor to the government in 2005 and had played an important role in the negotiations with Volkswagen. Later, he was appointed deputy chairman of ATM. Somayajulu had even prepared a draft report on cooperative farming. Political circles feel that Somayajulu would now play the role of political advisor to Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
