YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy writes a public letter to AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday. In his letter, he writes that he doesn’t want to attend foundation stone laying function of Amaravati. So he asks Chandrababu not to send any invitation to him and also not to blame him when he boycotts it. He writes several reasons for boycotting this state event. He alleges that government has collected the land from farmers against their consent and using force. He asks why Sec: 30 and 144 are imposed in the capital zone since last one year when the government is claiming that farmers handed over their lands to it voluntarily.
He asked why the government is ignoring the court and green tribunal’s orders. He asked why the government is giving contracts to Singapore and other private companies for constructing the capital city, when the Centre is promising to release sufficient funds in time for construction works. He asked why the government is doing real estate business in the lands collected from farmers instead of leaving choice to them and confining itself for construction of essential complexes for Assembly, High court, Secretariat etc.
Jagan writes that he did dharnas in protest against all these odd decisions taken by the statement government but it ignores and proceeding ahead for construction of capital city on the very fertile lands, even when the farmers are cursing it. Jagan writes that he will boycott the foundation laying ceremony in protest. However, he made it clear that he is not against construction of capital city.
