US State Secretary Hillary Clinton arrived at the Writer's building to meet West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Hillary Clinton is expected to discuss FDI in retail in the state and also take up the issue of Teesta Water Treaty during their meet on Monday.
The meeting with Mamata Banerjee is considered important as the UPA ally had earlier stalled the proposal of FDI in multi-brand retail.
Apart from FDI in retail, Hillary Clinton is also likely to take up the issue of Teesta Water Treaty.
"Well, I can say this much that everything which interests the US will be discussed on Monday's talks," said a senior Trinamool Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member.
Hillary Clinton is also expected to explore the trade opportunities in West Bengal.
