Guru Purnima: Heavy Rush at Sai Baba Temples

Guru Purnima is being celebrated all over the country with much fervor and reverence today. Guru Purnima is a festival most commonly celebrated by Hindus and Buddhists. On this day, disciples & students offer worship and pay their respects to their Guru (spiritual teacher). It falls on the day of full moon, Purnima, which is usually in the month of Ashaadhham (June–July) every year.
Heavy rush of devotees is seen at Sai Baba temples all over the state on this day. Special poojas are being conducted since early morning at Panjagutta, Dilsukhnagar, Chaderghat and various other Sai Baba temples in Hyderabad. Special Abhishekams for Baba are performed on the occasion. In Vijayawada also special poojas and archanas are being carried out at Sai Baba temples, which are thronged by huge crowds of devotees.
