Even while Amir Khan’s PK movie is facing protests from Hindu and Muslim organizations, Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh’s upcoming movie ‘Gopala Gopala’ also faces similar problems even before its release. Viswa Hindu Parishath activists have staged a dharna at Masab Tank area on Wednesday. They argue that some scenes in the movie are hurting the feelings of Hindus. So, they demand the Censor Board not to give censor certificate to the movie till those scenes are removed from the film.
Actually, Gopala Gopala is a remake of super hit Hindi movie Oh! My God. It has been remade into Telugu without any major changes in its concept. VHP that has no objections for Hindi version should not have any objections to Telugu version also. Perhaps, its intention behind hitting the roads against the film may be to catch the media attention.
If VHP is really so concerned about upholding the Hindu’s self-respect, it would have objected the ‘Ahalya’ comedy scene of his previous movie ‘Attariniti Daredhi’ which is humiliating for Hindus especially to womenfolk. They found nothing wrong it, but are objecting Gopala Gopala movie even without watching the movie in full.
