A Nampally court on Monday extended the judicial custody of mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy and his brother-in-law B.V. Srinivas Reddy by five days till December 3. G. Laxmipathi, I Additional Metrop-olitan Sessions Judge, extended the remand when the accused were produced before him through video conference on Monday afternoon.
The court extended the custody of Mr Janardhan Reddy and Mr Srinivas only by five days instead of 15 as the 90 day period for the chargesheet to be filed would be completed on December 4. The two accused were arrested on September 5. If the Central Bureau of Investig-ations fails to file the charge-sheet in the case within 90 days, the accused have the advantage of moving court for bail.
