Despite his Clifton Road bungalow in Karachi is gaurded by Pakistani Rangers and monitored by ISI, top in the wanted terrorist list in India, Dawood Ibrahim postponed his son's marriage reception in a bid to protect himself in Pakistan. Dawood had escaped from Mumbai in 1984 and never returned back to the city. He lives in a 20,000 sq ft bungalow in Karachi's Cliffton Road area. Dawood's son Moin will be getting married to Benazir, a Pakistan born Canadian national.
Sources close to Dawood's family said he is going through tough times since al Qaida chief Osama bin Laden's death. While India has demanded that Dawood be handed over, a shoot-out in front of his younger brother Iqbal Kaskar's house has rattled the don. Kaskar was not present at the spot but his bodyguard, Arif Bael, was killed in the attack. Distracted by the shooting incident outside his brother's house in Mumbai last week, fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim has deferred the wedding reception of his son, Moin. "The nikah is scheduled to take palce on 27, Friday, followed by wedding reception on May 28. However, due to the ongoing difficulties, Dawood has postponed the reception and new date has not been fixed," said the source.
