Senior Congress leader and Labor Minister Danam Nagendar hints of jumping into YSR Congress party soon. Recently, he told the media that he is going to visit Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister Sharmila who was operated for her knee joint problem at Apollo Hospital. He said there is nothing wrong in visiting her as she is just like his younger sister.

Though, he is known as an active leader in the party, these days he was not seen taking initiative in any of the party’s programs. According to sources, the withdrawal of MIM support to Congress party obliges him to look towards YSR Congress party, which got hints of its support from its president Asadudden Owaice. Since Danam Nagendar is used to contest from Khairatabad constituency in Hyderabad, where minority voters dominate the scene, naturally the one, who enjoys the support of MIM party, only wins in the elections. So, this may one reason for his interest to look toward YSR Congress party.

Besides, he has stiff opposition inside the party for his dominant attitude, and also from the Telangana Congress leaders for his anti-telangana stand. More over, he believes that the Telangana factor is also going to put his party in deep troubles in the days to come, where as he can overcome this problem by joining YSR Congress party and pass the elections with the help of MIM support.

With his latest statement, Danam Nagendar makes his party stamp him as ‘unwanted element’ in the party, which may worsen his position if he continues any further in the party. However, he has to clear the air with his next move expected in a day or two or else he will be considered as yet another loyalist of Jagan working in Congress party.
