The standoff between Dalai Lama and Chinese authorities might be a fact forever. Dalai lama was exiled from the Tibetan province in 1959, after China took control over Tibet. The Buddhist monk has since been trying to gain autonomy for Tibet, without any success! It’s a belief among the Tibetan Buddhists that the Lama is an incarnation of his previous Lama, and he himself would reincarnate after his death. But China has been too wise to use this belief in its own way. Many activists feel that China would place some person of it’s own choice and would declare him as the Lama of the next generation.

 

So Dalai lama has declared that he would be the last Lama and he might not incarnate further. This statement has of course outraged the Chinese officials. Writing in the state-run Global Times, the top Chinese officials have accused Dalai lama for betraying, and being disrespectful towards the Tibetan Buddhism by saying that there might be no more reincarnations. They have even warned that if any foreign country approaches Dalai lama, it has face the rage of China! So it seems to be the Buddhist Vs. The communist.
