Congress party state political in-charge Digvijay Singh, who spoke to media a short while ago, said he is still hopeful about having alliance with TRS party. He said Antony Committee of his party and committee led by K Keshav rao of TRS will chalk out seat sharing issues and may finalize alliance between two parties. So, it is to be understood that Congress is very much desperate to have poll alliance with TRS party. But, why it is so desperate, when its T-Leaders are assuring for a clean sweep in the elections? Is the Congress high command not relying upon its own leaders? Or is it scared to face TRS party in the elections? Or there any other reasons also?
If seen the way Congress party is running behind TRS for having poll alliance, it can be understood that it is scared of it and doesn’t want to take any risk relying upon its leaders, because winning 17 MP seats are very essential for it. It is no secret that Congress has put its Seemandhra branch at stake merely for winning these 17 MP seats in Telangana. So, it can’t afford to lose the game at any cost.
If it let TRS contest separately, then it will provide enough room for BJP and TDP to grab few MP seats. Moreover, it can’t afford to let TRS go off its hook, even when knowing that it may jump for BJP. So, to avoid any crisis situation in future, it is pleading TRS for poll alliance.
