CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is leaving for New Delhi today to attend party co-ordination committee meeting. He may also meet Sonia Gandhi during this visit. There were speculations in the media that it would his last visit to Delhi and he will be asked to step down from his chair immediately.
However, Minister TG Venkatesh said that it would help only to project CM Kiran Kumar Reddy as war-hero of Samaikyandhra and hence high command may not insisit for his resignation. He opined high command has to wait until CM Kiran quits on his own. He said no one in the prevailing situation wants to succeed him.
Another minister Sailajanath, known to be a close aide of CM, rubbished the reports about launching of new political party by CM Kiran. He said Kiran and all of they will stay in Congress only but continue their fight for Samaikyandhra till last minute.
Therefore, high command might have summoned Kiran to Delhi only to gauge his mood and to tell him how it plans to proceed with bifurcation process, in case if he still refuses to co-operate with it.
