Chhota Rajan likely to deported to India on Tuesday

 

The most wanted underworld don Chhota Rajan is likely to be deported from Bali, Indonesia back to India on Tuesday. Necessary legal formalities for his deportation to India were completed and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the nodal agency in India for coordinating Interpol has produced the necessary administrative request to the Indonesian authorities few days back.

 

A team of officials of CBI, the Mumbai Crime Branch and the Delhi Police Special Cell is currently camping at Bali waiting for Indonesian Government’s nod for his deportation. According to officials in New Delhi, Chhota Rajan is likely to be deported to New Delhi from Bali on Tuesday.

 

CBI officials will question him first regarding forgery of passport case. Then he will be shifted to Mumbai by the Mumbai Crime Branch police. He was wanted in 7o serious cases including Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA), the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) and the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA).

 

Once, he is deported to Mumbai, crime branch police will start questioning him about all those pending cases. Police has been waiting for him since last two decades. Mumbai Joint Commissioner (Crime) Atul Chandra Kulkarni confirmed this news about his deportation but refused to give any further information.
