TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu planned a 'Kandil' rally on Tuesday at Hyderabad in protest of deteriorating Power position in the State. The rally started towards Vidyut Soudha through Banjara Hills Road No. 2 & 3. When the rally reached Nagarjuna Circle in Punjagutta, police obstructed the rally and arrested Chandrababu Naidu and several TDP leaders accompanying him. They were taken to Banjara Hills police station. The TDP leaders condemned obstructing their protest rally midway before reaching the Vidyut Soudha.

Meanwhile, Telangana Employees JAC members staged a dharna in front of Vidyut Soudha protesting against Chandrababu's rally.
