CBI Notice To Jagan in Gali Illegal Mining Case

Kadapa MP and YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's alleged business links with former Karnataka minister and mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy, currently lodged in Chanchalguda jail, have once again surfaced. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the case of illegal mining by Obulapuram Mining Company owned by Gali brothers, has summoned Jagan to appear before it for questioning on 4 November.

The CBI Joint Director V.V. Lakshminarayana confirmed that the notice has been served on Jagan Mohan Reddy. The CBI is likely to question him about his alleged business links with the mining baron. According to sources, the CBI officials would question Jagan over the links of companies Red Gold and R.R. Global have with OMC. Jagan reportedly has stakes in Red Gold and R.R. Global.

The CBI may also look into possible links between the cases of Jagan and Janardhana Reddy. This is the first time that Jagan would be questioned by the CBI since the arrest of Janardhana Reddy and his brother-in-law Sep 5.
