Protests for Special Status for Andhra Pradesh have been launched by some of the student organization groups at several places in Andhra Pradesh. However, the Police obstructed their move, by arresting them.

The Vizag city police imposed section 144 of CrpC. Parents received SMS to restrict their children from participating in the silent protest. Police heavily deployed at the beach and took complete control of the beach surroundings.

In Tirupati, police arrested 30 students at the premises of SV University. The Students warned the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu saying that they will achieve the Special Status at any cost.
