Activist Teesta Setalvad who is part of the organisation which is fighting the communal violence in the state of Gujarat in 2002, is in for more trouble. The home ministry on Thursday cancelled the licence of the activist's Sabrang Trust under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 2010. Which means the NGO cannot accept foreign funding anymore. A home ministry official was recently arrested after it emerged that he had removed critical files linked to the investigation about the foreign funding.
