Parliament sessions may be extended

Parliament sessions will commence from 5th February and concludes on 21st February, in which vote on account may be presented on 17th. Since, these are the last sessions of UPA current term, Telangana bill is also to be presented and approved in these sessions only.

Apart from presenting vote on account, Congress party also wants to present and approve some other bills like Vigil Blowers Protection Bill, Citizens Charter Bill, Timely Delivery of Services Bill, Judicial Accountability Bill, Public Procurement Bill, amendment to anti-corruption Bill etc. which are said to be brain childs of Rahul Gandhi and that are intended to boost his image in the upcoming elections. Since Rahul Gandhi is going to steer the Congress party in the elections, all these bills need to be presented and approved before announcing sign a die of Parliament. So, Parliament sessions are likely to be extended to facilitate all these bills get approved.

The question is, even if the T-bill is returned to President Pranab on January 23rd, can the Congress high command present and get it approved in the Parliament, which is walking a tightrope.
