Jagan to Appear Before CBI today: May Be Arrested

Kadapa MP and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will appear before the CBI in connection with the disproportionate assets case on today (25-05-2012) at 10.30 AM. The special CBI court at Hyderabad rejected Jagan's anticipatory bail plea on Thursday. On Wednesday, the Andhra Pradesh HC turned down his plea to delay appearance before the CBI till June 15.

The 7-kilometre route from his Lotus Pond residence in Jubilee Hills to Dilkusha Guest House in Somajiguda is being heavily guarded to ensure no untoward incident takes place. Prohibitory orders are in place and there is heavy police deployment in Hyderabad and Cyberabad till May 29 in view of forthcoming by-elections and also as a precautionary measure.
