EC new rule to political parties

The Election Commission has issued new guidelines to all political parties in the country for maintaining the accounts. It is now mandatory for the parties to deposit their party funds in the banks. The treasurers of the parties’ have to maintain the accounts of the party from lower level to state level at the party headquarters. EC also asks the parties not to exceed the ceiling limits for financial assistance to party candidates for contesting the elections. These guidelines will come into effect from today itself.

However, political parties very well know how to bluff the EC. They may put permissible funds in the banks and maintain them to make EC happy, but collect huge funds from the businessmen and industrialists during elections period as usually.
