Army Officer trapped by Pakistani spy

Patan Poddar, who is serving Indian Army in Madras Regiment as Subedar has been trapped by Pakistani women suspected to be a spy. They got in touch through social media one year ago. She introduces herself as Anushka Agarwal an army research scholar. After becoming close, she starts gathering army secrets, present positions of different regiments’ and their movements, maps and officials’ phone numbers etc. from him.

She lures him by sending her nude photos and videos. However, Patan Poddar never suspected her or hesitated to share top secrets of the army with an unknown person like her. Poddar has come to Secunderabad Artillery Centre recently.

His superior officers got suspicion after seeing him spending  late nightsat internet. After confirming that he is sharing Indian army secrets with Pakistani woman, they lodged a complaint with Hyderabad Central Crime Police on Wednesday. Police have arrested him and is questioning him. It is learnt that Poddar has admitted that he has shared army secrets with unknown woman through email.

Hence, the Indian army has to make corrective measures to prevent repeatation of such incidents in future.
