I am the CM candidate of T-TDP: Krishnaiah
Updated : Apr 3, 2014
R.Krishnaiah, president of BC associations has categorically declared that he is the TDP Chief Minister candidate for Telangana. He said this in his interview given to The Hindu newspaper yesterday. He hopes that if TDP and BJP enter into poll alliance, BJP also will support his candidature. He said that he deserve that honor for his services to BC communities all these years.
He said all the political parties including TRS and T-Congress parties’ are fighting the elections only to form the government. So, everyone play their own cards to win the elections. So, there is nothing wrong in Chandrababu’s idea of declaring BC candidate as first CM to win this elections game, opines Krishnaiah.
Krishnaiah replaying to a question said “No one has prevented Congress party from making a SC or BC persons as Chief Ministers. But, it has never thought about such ideas, as it is upper cast dominated party. However, it appoints BC leaders as APCC or TPCC presidents only after realizing that it is losing itself to TDP in this particular point. However, it may not allow them to rule the state sitting in the CM chair.”
Krishnaiah’s open statement about his candidature may annoy senior leaders like Errabelli and many others who are dreaming to become first CM of the state. Errabelli has already once stated that party has not proposed him as its CMcandidate, but just given him charge of campaigning. Even Chandrababu has not openly declared about his candidature, which hints that he has someone else in his mind. If so, Krishnaiah will feel humilated at the end.
