Has the clout of TRS MLA Hareesh Rao been diminished in the Telangana region? The clear answer that is appearing for it is ‘yes’ considering some of his recent performances in some elections.

Both Telangana Mazdoor Union and Employees Union could not perform well in the just concluded APSRTC Employees Union elections in his native district. They suffered defeat in Sanga Reddy while tasted success with little margin in Medak. The TRS leaders could not digest the defeat. The National Mazdoor Union has won there with the talent of Congress legislator Jagga Reddy.

TRS chief K.Chandrasekhara Rao may claim that the NMU was defeated in the native districts of Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana too. But, some voices are quoting the proverb ‘win at home first then win out side world’ which is well existent in politics and thus they are highlighting the defeat of the unions in the native district of Hareesh Rao.

It may be recalled that Hareesh was defeated in the hands of AITUC leader Mahipal Reddy in the elections held for Kirby Construction Company Trade Union in the past. Analysing the performances of Hareesh in these elections, the analysts are expressing the opinion that the clout of the leader has seen a downward trend in the Telangana region.
