Eight Indians in world’s best CEOs list

Eight Indians have got their place in the list of world’s 100 best CEOs compiled by Harvard Business Review. The list is headed by Steve Jobs of Apple.
Y.C.Deveshwar of ITC has been at rank seven in the list. The company saw its value increase by $45 billion under the dynamic leadership of Deveshwar. The second Indian to be in the list is Subir Raha of ONGC, who is at overall rank 13. When he was the CMD of the company during 2001-2006, the company’s market capitalization was increased by ten times.
Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries is the third Indian to be in the list with international rank 28. With the leadership of Mukesh, his company could become the second largest one in the country in terms of turnover. L & T chairman A.M.Naik with rank 32 is the fourth Indian to get his place in the elite list. The firm could expand its horizons beyond the domestic frontiers during his tenure.
Bharat Mittal (rank 38) of BHEL, Sunil Bharti Mittal (rank 65) of Bharti Airtel, Naveen Jindal (rank 87) of Jindal Steel & Power and V.S.Jain (rank 89) of SAIL are the other four Indians to got their place in the list.
On an average, these eight Indians have delivered a total shareholder return of 1,385 percent during their careers as the chief executive officers of respective firms.
