Coconut Laddu

 

 

This  season is all about festivals and food definitely has a major share here.
Today, we are presenting a simple recipe from the  box of our traditional sweets, that is “coconut laddu”. This sweet is so easy to make yet very tasty and yummy one too.

 

Ingrediants:

Grated coconut                         - 4 cups
Sugar                                         - 2 cups
Condensed milk                       -  1 cup
Cardamum powder                  -1ts
Cashwenuts                              - 1 tbs
Raisins                                      -1tbs
Ghee                                          - 1tbs

 

Procedure:

•    Take a thick bottomed kadai and  put grated coconut, sugar and condensed milk in to that and mix well. Heat the mixture on a very low flame, stirring constantly, so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
•    Once heated, cook on a slow fire till the mixture starts leaving the sides of the kadai (approx 5 minutes), remove from fire and let it cool.
•    Add cardamom poweder to this mix.
•    Now take a small pan and put 1tbs ghee and fry cashew nuts and raisins till they turn in to brown colour. Now add these dry fruits to coconut mix.
•    Allow the content to cool and roll into laddoos with oiled hands.
